Post 51-Happy Birthday Mick Fleetwood

Today is English drummer Mick Fleetwoods birthday. He is such an inspiration to drummers and musicians in general because of his life and what he made of it.Michael John Kells Fleetwood was born on June 24,1947 in Redruth, Cornwall, England. His dad was a  Royal Air Force fighter pilot. And his family followed his father to Egypt were they lived for 6 years. After that his family moved to Norway were he lived for the rest of his childhood. He was never that good academically and at fifteen he dropped out and moved to London to pursue is career as a drummer. He worked with a lot of different bands before starting a new band with guitarist Peter Green and bassist John McVie called Fleetwood Mac.From then on the band as released 20 albums under the name of Fleetwood Mac. He has worked with George Harrison and has done other projects as well. He inspires me because he dropped out of school for his career. He reminds me that you I CAN do anything no matter if you have been educated or not. Not saying everyone can do it but saying that it is possible.Today he turned 65 and I hope he lives longer. he is awesome and an amazing drummer. today for his birthday my quotes will be from him.

"At last a dream come true. The Instrument of Instruments."-Mick Fleetwood

"That creates the magic, and that's the wonderment of the musical process and how precious that is."-Mick Fleetwood

"I really understand what that process is all about and how important it is, especially with young folk and creative folk that love looking for some platform that makes it easier for them to express themselves."-Mick fleet wood
